A renowned surgeon, who has been associated with more than 4,000 plus adult and pediatric cardiac procedures.

He has been included in the list of a very few surgeons in the country, who are experts in performing cutting-edge adult as well as pediatric heart surgeries.

He has had the honor of performing a few of nation’s and world’s first cardiac surgeries. He is passionate about improving longevity of patients afflicted with high-risk, complex cardiac &vascular conditions.

He has the distinction of becoming the first ever surgeon in the world to perform an AWAKE CARDIAC SURGERY (A unique type of Heart Surgery during which the patient remains completely conscious and the heartbeat will be stopped for hours without using ventilator) on a patient with a rare ‘Bombay blood group’ (The Bombay blood group has been identified in only about 179 people in the world).

He also is the first ever cardiac surgeon to do awake open heart surgery in Hyderabad and twin states of AP and Telangana.

He has operated some of the very high-risk patients with high success rate. His special expertise includes Off Pump Beating Heart CABG, Awake Heart Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Valve Repairs along with replacements and Vascular surgery.

He obtained first rank in all India entrance test to qualify for MCh cardiac surgery. Then he completed his MCh in cardiac surgery at Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore, a premier and largest cardiac institute in Asia.

He founded two of the well-known Cardiac Surgical Departments in Bangalore and worked in close association with globally renowned cardiac surgeons in Bangalore. He becomes the first youngest consultant cardiac surgeon in India to start a new department of his own and head the department. He transformed cardiac surgical department at Sapthagiri superspeciality hospital into a leading and a very high volume center in a very short span of time with a high success rate in surgery, treating more than two hundred patients which included 50 children in the first month of operations.

He also holds a record of operating on both a husband and wife together on the same day, in a rare surgical scenario of high risk cardiac disease.

He also holds the record of 100% success rate in cardiac surgery for consecutive two years recently.

He finds his happiness when poor and needy patients get treated by him, go home with a smile on their face.

Dr. Nisarga is an avid photographer, can play the flute and has a keen interest in Kannada Literature and Theatre and loves watching World Classic Art Films. Many of his photographs have bagged international awards along with few exhibitions to his credit. Many of his articles and poems have been published in leading journals.
